Will this week make a difference?
	Absolutely! OYE has welcomed hundreds of international volunteers from across the globe to work with at-risk youth in Honduras. We believe in the spirit of volunteerism and work with volunteers to ensure that their time spent working with youth is designed to make a lasting and impactful difference in the community. In one week volunteers participate in a wide variety of activities including but not limited to; political, social and regional awareness seminars, visits to local schools, nutrition centers for infants, orphanages and collaborations with local grassroot efforts. OYE always strives for sustainability in all its projects and depends on the energy and enthusiasm of volunteers to help keep youth involved and inspired. We welcome you to come join the movement and become part of the OYE family.

Location
	Organization for Youth Empowerment- OYE is located in El Progreso, Yoro a small town on the northern coast of Honduras. It lays half an hour from San Pedro Sula, a major commerce town, and an hour from the Caribbean coast.

Highlights
	While here in OYE you will practice your Spanish, taste delicious Honduran food, work with local youth, gain in depth insight into Honduran culture and politics, adventure excursion, and build life long relationships.

Field Conditions
	Honduras is a country riddled with poverty and glaring inequalities in the distribution of wealth. While working you will come face to face with the reality for the majority of Hondurans, poverty. You will also come face to face with Hondurans, who love, laugh and give. Conditions are extreme; OYE volunteers should be ready and open to experience this challenging and rewarding week.
